Q: What is the Chemical Peel Experience Like?

Q: What is the Difference Between Chemical Peels and Regular Facials?

Chemical peels contain acids to improve various skin concerns and encourage cells to turnover more quickly. Traditional facials are typically more relaxing and massage focused and do not correct specific skin concerns.

Q: What to Expect Post Treatment?

Post treatment it is typical to experience some redness for about an hour after treatment. Your skin will not always peel with chemical peels, but if your skin does peel it is typically within two to three days and lasts for up to six days post treatment. Peeling or not peeling is completely normal and nothing to worry about.

Q: How Many Chemical Peels Do I Need?

A single treatment will improve the appearance of the skin, however best results are achieved with a series of treatments. Most patients receive a series of three or six chemical peels and will customize which solution they receive with their provider. Treatments are typically spaced about one month apart.

With our SkinCeuticals Chemical Peels we offer options with salicylic or glycolic acid as well as a sensitive skin solution with glycolic, lactic, and phytic acids with Niacinamide.
